It is my intention to use this blog to help pet owners understand certain medical conditions, help them narrow down things they may see going on with their own pets, and to learn how some conditions may be more serious than they originally believed.
This blog, while hopefully insightful and helpful, is indeed for educational purposes only. It is by no means to be substituted for proper in-person medical attention, and should not be substituted for such. In an emergency, it is always best to get straight to your local open veterinary clinic. The information contained here can be used as an informative source for you to bring up with your vet. No one can properly nor legally diagnose your pet except for a licensed veterinarian who has done a physical exam on your pet. What you choose to try at home should always be done with common sense, informative decisions, and with the best interest of your pet in mind. I cannot be held responsible for any mistreatments nor problems with any advice given here. There is no way of my knowing your particular pet’s health condition and status. I only write of illnesses, conditions, and treatments my colleagues and I see and use with success. It is best to consider any treatment advice given here along with your own veterinarian’s input. I do not have time to answer specific questions; I instead consider general topic requests for future blogs.
